Rear extension, loft conversion and refurbishment of a North Kingston three-bedroom semi-detached house

On this ambitious building project Pace worked in partnership with the client from the start – helping to appoint a design team, supporting planning and party wall processes, and sequencing early works.

Downstairs, we created an airy open-plan living space by extending the back of the house by six metres, building pitched ceilings with skylights and installing sliding doors. We converted the loft, creating two new bedrooms and a bathroom and lowered the first-floor ceilings to create additional loft head height.

We refurbished the rest of the house, including creating a new utility and WC, and installed new plumbing and electrical services throughout. We also helped the client to select and source all the fixtures and finishes.

The end result was a thoughtfully-designed five-bedroom family home with an excellent feeling of light and space.
